DANI COUTURE is the author of three collections of poetry, GOOD MEAT (Pedlar Press, 2006), SWEET (Pedlar Press, 2010), and YAW (Mansfield Press, 2014), and the novel ALGOMA (Invisible Publishing, 2011).

SWEET was named one of Maisy’s Best Books of 2010 by Maisonneuve Magazine and nominated for the Trillium Book Award for Poetry; SWEET won the ReLit Award for poetry.

ALGOMA was listed as a Toronto Star Reviewer’s Top 100 Books of 2011 and included in The Coast‘s Best Books of 2011. The same year, Couture received an Honour of Distinction from The Writers’ Trust of Canada’s Dayne Ogilvie Prize for Emerging LGBT Writers.

She was the Poetry and Fiction Editor at This Magazine from 2012-2016.

Her writing has appeared in a number of publications including Ambit (ENG)The Awl (U.S.), The Globe & MailGrain, The Walrus, Boston Review (U.S.), Taddle CreekPRISM International, GrainThe MalahatLemon Hound, The Dark Horse (SCT), The Windsor Review, Plenitude MagazineThe Fiddlehead, The PuritanHazlitt, several editions of Best Canadian Poetry in English, and others.

A chapbook, Black Sea Nettle, is currently available from Anstruther Press.
